Marsha Turner-Reid began her education career volunteering at an elementary school in her community. While teaching sixth-grade language arts and sixth and seventh-grade science, she discovered her passion for helping students realize and develop the budding scientist within each of them.
Marsha is committed to motivating, assisting, and supporting today’s science teachers as they strive to enhance their curricula within the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) framework. Her objective is to ensure students understand the complexities of science-grounded concepts while developing critical communication and design skills.
Turner-Reid received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Jackson State University and her Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University. Marsha has also completed additional science education coursework at Benedictine University and NGSS professional development training with University of Illinois Extension.
