Selling through Food Hubs and Co-ops: A Growers Perspective   Laurie George

Food Hubs and Co-ops can be an additional revenue source for small farms.  These centers have the ability to aggregate and distribute food products from local farms to direct- end consumers such as restaurants, grocery stores, and schools, as well as wholesale entities.   Topics of discussion will highlight issues a farmer will need to address in order to successfully market their product(s); invoicing, packaging, labeling, pricing, communications, quality assurance, audits & certifications, and food safety concerns.
