The Purdue Rainscaping Education program provides training and resources on sustainable landscape practices to reduce polluted runoff by directing stormwater to be absorbed by plants and soils. Participants receive hands-on experience through experiential training activities, hybrid instruction, and field trips to examples of Rainscaping projects.
This 6-part series workshop in Cook County will provide you with the tools and skills needed to design, install and maintain a rain garden on your residential property. Through hybrid training, garden tours, and coaching sessions, you will walk away with your own personalized rain garden plan. To participate, participants will pay a $40 deposit and will receive a $200 stipend to build a rain garden after completion of all sessions and submittal of your personalized plan. Stipends will be provided per household or garden.

To determine your eligibility for this program, please fill out the application below by May 15, 2022. Once reviewed, course facilitators will contact you by June 1st regarding the status of your application. If accepted, payment will be due by June 10th.
