Learn how to implement the Junior Master Gardener (JMG) program in your classroom or community setting. This workshop will equip you with engaging, research-based activities that connect youth to gardening, science, and healthy living. Whether you're a seasoned educator or new to gardening, you'll leave with the skills and resources to help young learners grow their knowledge, leadership, and love for the natural world. JMG takes place in schools around the country, afterschool programs, 4-H, scouts, and summer camps.

Who: This workshop is geared towards adults that work with youth ages 8-11 years old. Informal and formal educators are invited to this workshop, for example, school teachers, 4H leaders, after school programs, scout leaders, and summer camp leaders may all attend. ISBE PD credits available

What: Junior Master Gardener - Learn, Grow, Eat & Go Train the Trainer Workshop +  Food Handler Certification Training. Participants will receive their food handler training certificate of completion. The certificate is valid for 3 years. Participants will also receive a supply kit with curriculum, seeds and other program supplies.
