COOK COUNTY, Ill. – The words “If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness” hold true not only for physical health but also for mental and emotional well-being. Engaging in self-care strategies might not feel comfortable for many but it is essential in enhancing overall health and well-being. The Wellness Wednesdays: Begin with You series presented by University of Illinois Extension community health educators encourages participants to focus on their own wellbeing and provides them with tools and self-care strategies to address mental and physical wellness.
Each of the weekly sessions will help participants understand how their surrounding environment and the choices they make can influence their wellbeing. The six-session series emphasizes self-care and will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. virtually on Wednesdays beginning February 2, 2022.
