Rebecca Griffith is a 4-H Youth Development Educator with University of Illinois Extension in Cook County, where she supports young people in building leadership, creativity, and confidence through hands-on, research-based learning. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in inclusive education, arts integration, and STEM/STEAM programming, Rebecca is committed to creating accessible pathways for youth to discover their strengths and become active contributors to their communities.

Before transitioning into her 4-H role, Rebecca served as a Community Health Program Coordinator with Illinois Extension, collaborating with diverse communities to promote programs that inspire positive behavior change and support overall well-being. She also brings extensive experience from Northern Illinois University, where she worked as a STEAM Educator, and Instructor of Record for the School of Art and Design. Across these roles, she designed interdisciplinary K–12 curricula, led youth camps and workshops, mentored student workers and volunteers, and facilitated programming that blended art, technology, coding, and social-emotional learning.

Rebecca has developed curricula for learners with diverse abilities, built partnerships with schools and community organizations, and delivered professional development for educators. Her work reflects a commitment to ensuring that all young people have the opportunity to discover their interests, develop meaningful skills, and feel a sense of belonging.

Rebecca holds an MFA and a BS.Ed from Northern Illinois University and is licensed by the Illinois State Board of Education with a K–12 Visual Arts Endorsement. She continues to explore the intersections of art, technology, wellness, and youth empowerment in her teaching and community engagement.
