Delivering outstanding customer service has always been a top priority for Shannon Towers. As the Office Support Associate for the Westchester office in Cook County, Shannon provides the assistance and support that helps Coordinators, Community Workers, and Extension educators bring educational opportunities to county residents. Assisting individuals to learn and grow drew Towers to Extension and is one reason that makes working for Illinois Extension so rewarding.

Shannon's previous experience working in public schools has helped her appreciate the importance of education and sharpened her ability to work directly with the public.

Towers holds a Paraprofessional License from the Illinois State Board of Education, multiple communication certifications, and believes education is a lifelong journey.

Additionally, Shannon volunteers in her community and local public school system, where she helps organize and develop opportunities for the area's teachers and families.

Towers loves spending time with her family and dogs, being outside, and shopping. She also has an affection for colored pens and stationery—to help keep her organized.
