Notes on the Event Schedule Change
We unfortunately are postponing this program until next summer, 2025. Due to unexpected circumstances and staff capacity shortages, we are unable to deliver the program at the quality that we would like. We are very sorry to postpone the program and are grateful for your interest in promoting watershed health in Cook County.

Become a community leader in water conservation! Join our inaugural cohort!

IL-IN Master Watershed Stewards:

  • Trains and supports community leaders to serve and support the protection and conservation of land and water resources.
  • Helps develop a network of stewards to serve their communities as catalysts for local environmental conservation through education, research and stewardship.
  • Promotes awareness and appreciation for ecological resources.
  • Offers 8 online classes and 2 in-person field trips around Cook County. Select Thursdays and weekends, June 6-August 1.

Qualifications: 

  • Be able to complete the entire course: 8 2-hour sessions, 2 fieldtrips, and out of class homework.
  • Be a Cook County resident.
  • Be interested in environmental stewardship and building resilient communities.

Cost: $20, fee waivers available.
