University of Illinois Lake County Extension Master Gardeners 2026 Plant Sale
Calling all gardeners: Save the date of Saturday, May 16, 2026, for the Lake County Extension Master Gardeners Spring Plant Sale at the University of Illinois Extension. This year our plant sale features a beautiful selection of nursery-grown plant varieties not readily available at traditional garden centers – natives, new cultivars of perennials, grasses, and pollinator-friendly plants.

During this session, you’ll learn about Dr. Steckler’s ongoing research on ticks and discover how you can contribute to an important citizen science project by volunteering to gather data. Your participation helps build a clearer picture of tick activity across the region.
