Caitlin Fredericks, MS, is our Extension specialist in pPhysical health with the Integrated Health Disparities program in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois. The Integrated Health Disparities program includes a team of extension specialists in physical health, mental health, and community health working together to provide leadership and resources in the crusade to address health inequities.

Prior to joining the Extension, Caitlin worked in both higher education and recreation and fitness in teaching, programming, coaching, and administrative roles. Caitlin earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Lawrence University in 2014 and a master’s degree in exercise and sport sciences from Ithaca College in 2015. She is an ACSM certified personal trainer, ACE certified group fitness instructor, and holds a pregnancy and postpartum fitness instructor certificate.

Caitlin is passionate about making physical activity accessible and enjoyable for all. In her role as Extension Specialist in Physical Health, Caitlin works to promote physical activity participation among underserved and vulnerable populations focusing on creating accessible, evidence-based programming for communities across the state.
