Caring for Snapdragon
  • Full sun to light shade. Prefer cooler times of the year.
  • Well-drained soils that tend toward alkaline pH.
  • Excellent if planted mid to late summer as they will do well until very hard frost kills them.
  • Tall cultivars may need staking.
  • Trailing types require good drainage.
  • Remove spent flower spikes to promote rebloom and to keep the plant from dying back.
