Body
A popular, easy to grow, long lived perennial that flowers easily and offers attractive foliage long after the plant blooms. Select from early, mid-season and late blooming cultivars to extend the bloom season over a 4- to 6-week period.
Care
- Moist well-drained soil in full sun location and very light fertilization.
- Don't plant the roots too deep. Plant no deeper than 2 inches.
- Don't over-fertilize or it results in reduced flowering.
- May never need dividing.
- May take 2-3 years to establish and bloom.
- Don't plant in the shade or in competition with tree roots or over fertilize as all lead to poor or no flowering.
