Features of Spiderwort

Body

Spreading plant with straplike grassy foliage. Too much shade results in tall floppy plants. More sun results in better flowering.

Care

  • Prefers moist soil in sun to partial shade location.
  • Foliage tends to brown and die down and go dormant after it finishes blooming. Trim back to the ground and allow new foliage to develop along with some rebloom.
